Aboriginal Benefits Foundation
The objectives of Aboriginal Benefits Foundation are to promote, provide and carry out activities, facilities and projects for the benefit and welfare of Aboriginal communities throughout Australia and the members of those communities. The Aboriginal Benefits Foundation has a particular focus on supporting health, art and cultural projects undertaken to assist the youth, the aged and those who suffer from infirmity, disability, poverty or other disadvantageous social or economic circumstances.
Foundation for Alcohol Research & Education (FARE)
FARE is an independent charitable organisation working to prevent the harmful use of alcohol in Australia.
Its mission is to help Australia change the way it drinks by:
- Helping communities to prevent and reduce alcohol-related harms
- Building the case for alcohol policy reform
- Engaging Australians in conversations about our drinking culture.
Over the last 10 years FARE has invested more than $115 million, helped 750 organisations and funded over 1,400 projects tackling the harms caused by alcohol misuse.
Australian Respiratory Council
The Australian Respiratory Council (ARC) is a self-funding not-for profit organisation that has been contributing to respiratory health in Australia and neighbouring countries for almost 100 years. The ARC funds research, undertakes projects and provides technical expertise and training within the Asia-Pacific Region.
Macquarie Group Foundation
One of Australia’s oldest and largest corporate foundations, the Macquarie Group Foundation supports programs in arts, education, environment, health, welfare and sport. The Foundation is a major partner of Cape York Institute's Higher Expectations Program (HEP), which encourages students in remote Indigenous communities to pursue tertiary education.
Mary MacKillop Foundation
The Mary MacKillop Foundation is an Australian charity/non-profit organisation that funds small life changing projects responding to the needs of rural and isolated communities, Indigenous groups, people with disabilities and those forgotten by society. It has funded Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Tertiary Scholarships for more than a decade.
Myer Foundation
The Myer Foundation and Sidney Myer Fund make grants across Australia for general charitable purposes with the aim to improve people’s lives in lasting and positive ways. Grants are made across a number of different areas, including arts and humanities, education, sustainability and environment and poverty and disadvantage. Grants are also made to support Australia’s understanding of and relationships with the Asia Pacific Region.
Queensland Community Foundation
Queensland Community Foundation (QCF), a perpetual charitable trust, has over 150 sub funds and provides services to the community and its donors, makes grants and undertakes community leadership and partnership activities to address a wide variety of needs and opportunities in Queensland.
Telstra Foundation
The Telstra Foundation Community Development Fund supports the work of the Stronger Smarter Institute as well as other programs around Australia which benefit Indigenous children and young people.
