- Attend the Reconciliation Business Forum
- Sponsor a reconciliation event or local sporting organisation that has strong participation from Indigenous and non-Indigenous people
- Consider how your recruitment and employment practices could be improved to encourage more Indigenous people to join and advance in your business
- Present positive images of Indigenous and non-Indigenous people working together in your advertising and promotion
- Participate in the Reconciliation Awards for Business
- Organise a reconciliation breakfast, morning tea or lunch with your staff, clients and suppliers featuring a guest speaker
- Organise a networking function inviting local Indigenous and non-Indigenous people
- Investigate options for Indigenous traineeships through the Department for Employment and Training or phone 1300 369 925
- Check out the reconciliation stories and add your own story or event to the Queensland Government Reconciliation website.
- Add a reconciliation page to your website or links to other reconciliation sites
- Incorporate Indigenous art and culture in your workplaces and public areas
- Join and encourage your staff to be involved in a local reconciliation group - contact Reconciliation Queensland for details
- Ask your staff and clients what they would like your business to do for reconciliation
- Promote your reconciliation activities through media releases to mainstream and Indigenous media
- Place an advertisement in a local newspaper noting your support for Reconciliation Week (May 27 - June 3)
- Display the reconciliation poster and information sheets in your staff room or kitchen.
