Businesses, young people and the community can get involved in promoting reconciliation and creating a better future for all Queenslanders, by participating in:
- Reconciliation Awards for Business
- Reconciliation Business Forum
- Brisbane Young Indigenous Leaders' Forum
In addition, the Queensland Government will spread the reconciliation message across the state and encourage all Queenslanders to participate in whatever way they can.
These events are outlined in the Queensland Government's Reconciliation Business and Leadership Action Plan. This plan, coordinated by the Office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, gives a three-year commitment to holding these events.
The events aim to achieve greater business engagement in reconciliation, create new employment and business opportunities, and nurture young Indigenous leaders. They complement action across all government departments to improve service delivery and achieve positive change for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Queenslanders.
